Of course, we do not want to deprive disabled people and wheelchair users of the possibility to visit our exciting Museum. On the whole, the West part of the Open-Air Museum Ballenberg (Hofstetten) is less steep and has more houses which are easily accessible than the East part. Detailed information can be found on a special map which lists all the gradients in terms of percentage and is available free of charge at both entrances.

Parking is free at the West and East entrances.

Dogs on a leash are welcome in the grounds free of charge.

2-hour guided tours in English, German, French or Italian, advanced booking is required, per person CHF 11, min. CHF 180 per guided tour (max. 25 persons per group/tour).

The Swiss Museum Pass entitles one adult (Adult Pass) or one adult accompanied by a maximum of 5 children up to 16 years of age (Adult- Plus-Pass) to free admission.

Apart from Swiss francs we accept Reka checks, EC/Maestro card, Post Office card, Visa, Eurocard, UBS KeyClub points, CUP and American Express. EURO at the current rate of exchange.
