For maximum amusement and entertainment value, guests compete individually or in teams in traditional disciplines such as Alpenhorn blowing, crossbow shooting or hammering in nails.
Then there is Platzgen, the traditional Swiss disc-throwing game similar to horse-shoe pitching. Ask us if you’d like a competition with prizes.

If you prefer active learning, take a guided tour, led by one of our experts, of our bread and grain exhibit, and then try kneading bread dough yourself. Or learn all about medicinal herbs and their beneficial effects, and apply your new-gained knowledge to create your own herbal tea or air-freshener spray.

The Open-Air Museum closes every day at 5.00 p.m. However we are happy to make an exception for groups. We can cater exclusively for you and your guests with a programme in our grounds and with specialities from our kitchen and wine-cellar.
