Schools are visiting Ballenberg free of charge
After 1:30 pm from Monday to Friday, teachers and their pupils can visit Ballenberg Open-Air Museum free of charge. This offer is valid immediately and until further notice, and is aimed at state schools and nurseries throughout Switzerland, up to and including year 9. Additional paid educational programmes, such as guided tours, can also be booked.

SBB offer for schools
Are you planning to travel by public transport? School classes benefit from the SBB school day ticket for CHF 15.00 per person. When booking the combined offer, school classes receive a 25% discount on admission to the Open-Air Museum. The offer can be booked via the SBB Contact Center 0848 44 66 88 or at the railway counter.

Throughout the museum grounds there are tables and benches available for an enjoyable picnic in the open air. The barbecue areas are equipped with firewood and running water.
