You can buy your Ballenberg ticket at the museum ticket offices at the West, Hofstetten and East, Brienzwiler entrances. Tickets purchased from our online shop give you direct access to the museum grounds, avoiding any queues.

Discounts
With the Bernese Oberland Pass you can discover the Bernese Oberland by public transport and receive discounts and reductions on the admission price at many excursion destinations. At the Swiss Open-Air Museum Ballenberg you receive a 25% discount on single admission tickets for adults and children (not valid on family tickets).
The Camping Card Berner Oberland gives you a 25% discount on standard admission prices. Show your Camping Card at the museum ticket office to benefit from this discount.
The Guest Card for the surrounding tourist regions gives you a 20% discount on standard admission prices. Show your Guest Card at the museum ticket office to benefit from this discount.
On presentation of your KulturLegi card you will receive a 50% discount on the regular admission prices to the Swiss Open-Air Museum Ballenberg.
The Museums-PASS-Musées gives you free entry to more than 345 museums, castles and gardens in Germany, France and Switzerland – including the Swiss Open-Air Museum Ballenberg. You can use your pass to visit all collections and exhibitions free of charge together with up to five children (under 18), who do not need to be related to you. Show your pass at the museum ticket office to get free entry.
Raiffeisen members with MemberPlus status can get free admission to the Swiss Open-Air Museum Ballenberg for themselves and up to three children. Show your Maestro card, V PAY card, Mastercard or Visa card from the Raiffeisen bank, or your digital MemberPlus pass from the MemberPlus portal.
Raiffeisen updated the conditions for MemberPlus status on 1 July 2022. Before your visit, please check that you are entitled to free admission to the Swiss Open-Air Museum Ballenberg.
The Swiss Museum Pass gives you access to more than 500 museums for one year. Present your pass at the museum ticket office to get free admission to the Swiss Open-Air Museum Ballenberg.
If you hold a Swiss Travel Pass, this includes the Swiss Museum Pass, which gives you free admission to more than 500 museums – including the Swiss Open-Air Museum Ballenberg.

Information on tickets and prices
- The prices quoted are in Swiss francs and include VAT.
- Dogs on a short lead are permitted on site free of charge.
- The West and East entrances each have five handcarts available, which can be used free of charge in exchange for your ID.
- You can experience the Swiss Open-Air Museum Ballenberg by horse-drawn carriage for an additional fee.
- All-terrain electric wheelchairs are available to hire at the West entrance for a daily fee of CHF 25.00 (prior reservation required).
