Fairytale Sundays

This year, the Swiss Open-Air Museum will once again play host to fairytales and legends from all over Switzerland. Once a month, tellers of fairytales are on site to whisk you away to a world steeped in legend.

Dive into fantastical tales from every part of Switzerland, listen to the various Swiss languages and dialects, and let yourself be whisked away into strange worlds by talking frogs or pots magically filled with chestnuts: Once a month, visitors to the Ballenberg Open-Air Museum can enjoy live readings of fairy tales and legends.

The fairy tale readings are an addition to the ‘All ears’ fairy tale and legend tour.

The dates for our 2025 Fairytale Sundays will be released soon.

The fairytale readings are an addition to the “All ears” fairytale and legend tour and are provided in cooperation with the Mutabor Fairy Tale Foundation. The readings are included in the price of admission. They take place in various buildings across the Swiss Open-Air Museum. Details can be found in the daily programme.
