Selfie-Challenge: Bärbel's Adventures

Day after day, Bärbel, the adventurous wooden cow, dreamed of an exciting trip through Switzerland. One morning, she decided to make her dream come true. When she saw the two oxen, Sämi and Zimbo, slowly moving towards the Swiss Open-Air Museum, she thought "now or never" and decided to follow the call of adventure.

Bärbel is overwhelmed. She never thought there would be so much to discover and experience at Ballenberg! The historic houses, the traditional craftsmanship and the many farm animals – all in one place in Switzerland. A perfect excursion for explorers and adventurers!

Find Bärbel on the Ballenberg, take a creative, cheeky selfie with her and post it on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #ballenbergchallenge. Don’t forget to tag the Ballenberg Open-Air Museum (@ballenbergmuseum).

Can’t go to the open-air museum? No problem. Create your own creative post (photo, drawing or video) that shows how you envision Bärbel’s adventures at Ballenberg.

The winners will be selected based on the creativity and originality of their selfies. There are great prizes up for grabs:

1st prize: One overnight stay at the Trauffer, Switzerland Bretterhotel worth CHF 250.00
2nd – 5th prize: Two 2025 season passes for the Swiss Open-Air Museum
6th – 10th prize: Two family tickets for 2025 for the Swiss Open-Air Museum
