von Moos: Well, Spichtig is right in that respect. If we harvested the whole of Cliesteri Forest we could sell the wood for a thousand guilders. That would give our community some financial leeway. Not only could we provide free firewood for the school, we could also raise the teacher’s salary by fifty guilders, which would then be enough for a qualified teacher. We could even set up a fund for a girls’ school.
