Conditions of participation

General provisions on prize draws and lotteries

The participant expressly agrees that he/she has full rights of use to the data uploaded by him/her over the course of the prize draws and that no third-party rights exist for this data (e.g. photos and videos). The participant agrees that he/she may make this data available to the Open-Air Museum Ballenberg for further unrestricted temporal, local and media use (website, social media, printed works, multimedia etc.) – this also includes usage for advertising purposes. The participant is not entitled to any renumeration for any of these uses. Furthermore, the participant expressly agrees that the name of the participant may be mentioned in connection with the publication of the media.

Participants also agree that their contact details may be used for marketing purposes. Should participants prefer not to have their details used in this manner, they may send a private message to marketing@ballenberg.ch. Data will not be passed on to third parties. These terms and conditions of participation shall be considered to have been accepted on participation, but no later than on acceptance of the prize. Legal recourse and cash alternatives to prizes are excluded. The competition is subject to Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction for all legal disputes is Bern.

Natural persons resident in Switzerland who have reached the age of 18 are eligible to participate. Excluded are employees of the Swiss Open-Air Museum Ballenberg as well as its partner companies and partner organisations. The raffle runs until end of season. The decision is final. Data provided by the participant for the duration of the prize draw will be processed by means of a database. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the draw.

Social media competitions

The competition is in no way affiliated with Meta and is not sponsored, supported or organised by its platforms. The organiser, the Swiss Open-Air Museum (marketing@ballenberg.ch), is the sole point of contact and party responsible. Comments that violate Facebook or Instagram policies or Swiss law will be removed without prior notice. It is at the discretion of the Swiss Open-Air Museum to make judgements regarding the relevance of content, attempts to manipulate or artificially increase statistics, and the existence of fake accounts.
