The wait is over! Ballenberg is awakening from its hibernation and kicking off the new season full of energy. You can look forward to a varied opening programme and an exciting time at Ballenberg with our annual theme: ‘Ballenberg in Bloom!’

A lively music programme awaits you at the season opening: the folksy sounds of "Urchig & Lustig" and the powerful “Bäärghoore” alphorn quartet create an authentic atmosphere. Our Valais winemakers are also back on site, doing the traditional pruning at the Ballenberg vineyard. See how they prepare their vineyard for the upcoming season, ask questions and learn more about the art of viticulture.

And what would a successful opening be without indulging in some tasty treats? Look forward to a Valais wine tasting accompanied by a hearty raclette – the perfect start to an eventful season!

The Valais vineyard can be found at the East Entrance, next to the chapel from Turtig/Raron VS (1131). This event is held in cooperation with Swiss Wine Valais.
